The Clay
Platte Scottish Rite Club, like all geographical defined Scottish Rite
groups in the Valley, was created to provide adjunct support to members of
the Scottish Rite who may be unable to attend monthly meetings at the
Kansas City Temple but still desire an opportunity for Masonic fellowship
with like minded brothers and their families. While the Clay and Platte
Counties are just a short distance from downtown Kansas City, we still
enjoy the camaraderie provided by our local get together's each and every
month.
The Clay-Platte Club raises funds through dues and
contributions from its members and uses the money for projects we have
adopted. We currently provide a new American Flag annually to the Temple
for display over the main entrance on Linwood Boulevard and provide the
lights for the illumination of the giant columns around the building.
Other opportunities to assist the Masonic community are frequently
presented to the membership and decided on by vote at our
meetings. |
